Hello, I’m Aryeh. I’m currently a Peter Buck Postdoctoral Fellow at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, where I study genomes to understand the origins of evolutionary novelty and innovation. I completed my Ph.D. in 2026 in the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis in the lab of Dr. Jonathan Losos. I’ve also worked in translational genome analytics, statistical genetics, and epigenomics at Merck. I’m an avid naturalist, and broadly curious about how natural selection and molecular biology intersect to generate the diversity of life.
